Instructions
Step 1: Shred the potatoes
Use a box grater or food processor to shred 1–2 potatoes per person.
Step 2: Rinse and squeeze
Rinse the shredded potatoes in cold water to wash away excess starch, then squeeze out the water using a clean kitchen towel. This step is key for crispiness.
Step 3: Season
Sprinkle with salt and mix well.
Step 4: Preheat and prep
Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F). Spray the basket with olive oil.
Step 5: Cook in batches
Spread the potatoes in an even layer (don’t overcrowd). Spray the top lightly with olive oil.
Step 6: Air fry to perfection
Cook for 12 minutes, stirring halfway through. The edges will crisp up beautifully.
